THE DAILY GROANER – Wednesday, March 10th 2010
Good Morning Groanies,
I was really scared on Monday night. Stacy and I were
leaving the store after stocking up on groceries when we
noticed that a thick fog had rolled in and settled in the
parking lot. We couldn’t see one car in the lot once we
exited the store and it was quiet, too quiet.
We gave each other a “well, this is weird” look and then
headed over to where I remember the car being. I loaded
the groceries into the trunk and Stacy fired up the car.
I hopped in and put the car in gear, but nothing happened.
The car didn’t budge. I put it in park again and then in
drive and… nothing. Weird, right?
Then suddenly I began to think recall “John Carpenter’s
The Fog” and Stephen King’s “The Mist” (Which I’m currently
reading. Weird again!) My mind filled with images of
murderous undead pirates, deadly giant insects and monsters
from some bizarre dimension that man was not meant to
discover. I began to panic. I didn’t know what to do. We
were trapped. Was this it? What was to come? What was in
the fog/mist?
Then Stacy said, “Steve, you got it in neutral.”
Man, it sure was foggy.
Groaningly yours,
Steve

Two skeletons used by the professor of anatomy found
themselves stowed away in a dusty closet. After several
weeks of boredom one turned to the other and asked,
“What are we doing shut up in here anyway?”
“Got me,” admitted his companion. “If we had any guts
we’d bust out of here.”
